Marketing services
Small businesses in Bangkok often need help in two languages: Thai for local customers and English for expatriates and visitors. A good agency will tell you which of the two matters more for your business before it quotes.
Hiring an agency: what to ask
Ask who will do the work, and whether it is done in-house or passed to freelancers. Ask what you will own at the end: the website, the domain, the ad accounts and the analytics should all be in your company's name, with the agency given access, not the other way round.
For search engine work, be wary of anyone who guarantees rankings. Nobody controls Google's results. A reasonable agency will set out what it will change, how it will report and what you can expect to see in three and six months.
For paid advertising, agree the management fee separately from the ad spend, and make sure the spend is billed to your own card or account.
Thai and English
A restaurant in Thong Lo and a law firm serving foreign clients need different things. The restaurant needs Thai-language search, LINE and Google Maps. The law firm may need English content and search visibility abroad. Agree on the language plan before you agree on the budget.
